About his Art

His working method consists of extensive experimentation with various media, based on the assumption that new imagery can be found through research. He draws from his many sketches, photographs, and films.

His goal is to provide an example to the viewer. The women he creates are like a mother figure. They radiate a calm and love that the artist gladly shares with the world. It is like an answer to chaos and unrest. The women seem unreachable due to the gaze bestowed upon them.

His work is about inner peace and faith and trust in one's own inner world. The viewer is challenged to relate to the portrait.

What makes his work recognizable is the personal style developed over the years and his memory for people. The look and the aura, atmosphere, or attitude of a person who once caught his eye can reappear in the portrait.
